Fall Fun!

Last weekend Nicholas and I went to Evansville. It was rather challenging to take him on the plane by myself, but we made it. He actually fell asleep sitting in my lap on the plane. (He hasn't done that since he was a newborn.) We did a lot of fun things. We went to the Fall Festival and I also walked the half marathon with my mom, sister, and sister-in-law. Nicholas got to have some bonding time with Uncle Greg, Uncle Andrew, and Maggie. Here are some pictures of our trip!

Eating!

Nicholas is getting to the point where he'll only eat yogurt if I let him feed himself. As you can see he doesn't really "eat" much but he's learning!

Glasses!

Nicholas is wearing his glasses like a big boy! We can't believe that he doesn't take them off. We just wanted to share some pictures of how cute he looks in these! We feel bad that he has to wear them, but they are still so cute!

The Elliott Family Vacation!

We had a wonderful time in California. It was so nice to be with everyone and relax. Nicholas and Maggie had so much fun together. Nicholas finally found the courage to start walking the day before we left and he hasn't stopped since! Elizabeth and Greg made a great video of their pictures. Walking...kind of!

Nicholas has started taking a few steps here and there! He will only try to walk if we stand him in the middle of the room with nothing to hold onto. He knows it's a big deal now because he claps after he walks a little bit!

1 year stats!

We had Nicholas' one year doctor appointment yesterday....here are his stats!

Weight: 22lbs.

Length: 32.5in.

He is in the 98% for height and 50% for weight! He is a very big boy and the doctor said he is tall and slender. He doesn't really feel slender though! He is a healthy, happy one year old!

Birthday Boy!

We can't believe that Nicholas will be 1 on Wednesday! The year just flew by and he is really a little boy now...not a baby anymore! We had a swimming party on Saturday at Papa's house. The kids had a great time playing in the kid's pools and eating! Grammy came from Indiana and we had a great visit!

Nicholas wasn't sure of the cake at first but he dug in eventually and really liked it. He still has blue frosting under his fingernails! I'd like to take credit for the cake but I can only take credit for baking it. Auntie Gina spent two nights decorating it and it turned out perfect! Paul really got into the cake and is gearing up for his birthday in November! Here are some pictures of the big day!
